In view of the request by the petitioner undergraduates to have the proceedings of the case terminated, the Court told the Government Medial Officer Association (GMOA) that they could not file intervention papers when the petitioner had settled the issue with the Ministry of Higher Education and wanted the case terminated.

Faiz Mustapha PC appeared with Faizar Markar for the petitioner. Chandana Liyanapatabandi, appeared for the GMOA.

The Bench comprised Justice Chandra Ekanayake and Justice Eva Wanasundera.
