Pallai's tour dangerous - Dayan

UN high commissioner for Human rights Ms. Navi Pillai arrived at the Katunayake international airport yesterday (25) for a week's official visit.
And expressing his views on her visit to Sri Lanka, Dr. Dayan Jayathilaka says that this could be decisive for Sri Lanka.

He points out that the Govt should present the true facts as response to the allegations levelled towards the Govt regarding the War crimes.

Mr. Jaythilaka said that according to the current situation, her visit to Sri Lanka could be unfavourable to Sri Lanka.

Dr Jayathilaka further pointed out that it is her duty to provide an unbiased report about the Sri Lankan visit.

The UN high commissioner who arrived in the country upon request of the Govt, will remain in Sri Lanka up until the 31st.

Meanwhile at a media meeting held yesterday JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake said that the arrival of Ms. Navi Pillai is taking place according to the double faced policy of the Govt.

President of the Desha Hithaishee movement Dr. Gunadasa Amarasekera says that they object to the Sri Lankan visit of the UN high commissioner for human rights.
