Subramaniam a resident of Nalloor claims his identity at the age of 47

Sivabalasubramaniam a resident of Nalloor residing at Station Road Kondavil applies for his National Identity at the age of 47.
During the Mobile Clinic held on 23rd at Nalloor Divisional secretariat to issue the National Identity Mr. Sivabalasubramaniam submitted his National Identity application.

This Mobile Clinic is jointly organized by the CaFFE organization, Centre for Human Rights and Research (CHR) and Department of registration of Persons to facilitate the people who don’t have national Identity and other certified documents.

Mr. Sivabalasubramaniam who joined the Mobile Clinic said he was happy that his long term intention which did not occur materialized now. He got to know this from the announcement jointly made by the Centre for Human Rights (CHR) and caFFE said Mr. sivabalasubramaniam.

He further said he was a daily waged labourer for Rs. 500 and it is a hassle to obtain a National Identity under normal conditions and he was deprived of losing his daily pay to obtain this service. Therefore he said he is so happy to apply for his National Identity within a day by taking photographs and to submit all certificates at this Mobile Clinic at a single location.

He said he had a temporary Identity Card all these days and due to this he couldn’t cast his vote during the last provincial Council Elections.
Nalloor DS division is one of the worst areas affected with people without the National Identity in the Jaffna District. 562 people submitted application during the last Mobile clinic held on the 23rd.

Mobile Service to obtain the National Identity and other certified documents for the people who don’t have such started last July 9th from the Karachchi Division in Kilinochchi and now it is implemented in Jaffna and Mullaitivu districts as well.
Inclusive of the above districts more than 7000 people able to obtain this service through this Mobile Clinic.
